Thana did her internship of 1 year in Jipmer, India and 6 months in Malaysia. She worked as a medical officer in the National Leprosy Centre and the Dermatology Department, General Hospital , Kuala Lumpur for 5 years before obtaining her Diploma of Dermatology. She was posted as State Dermatologist to Kuantan General Hospital for 1 year and then she had a private practice in Malaysia for 7 years.
Thana did her Australian internship at Royal North Shore Hospital 1992 and then did her FRACGP fellowship in 1998. Thana has been in general practice for 23 years.
She was an RACGP examiner for 10 years.
Thana has a special interest in Dermatology, Antenatal Shared Care and Minor Procedures.
